The Coca Cola factory survive the war without damage. In a war where everything was recklessly demolished including the hydroelectric plant and major government offices, how did Coca Cola manage to keep a factory from being bombed and looted? The solution: give away your product for free.
During the war, Coca Cola gave anyone with a cup a free cup of cola just for walking by. There was still some bottling and distribution through Monrovia but, for the most part, Coca Cola was ensuring the vast investment of their plant by giving away their product for fifteen years.
